Sara Moulton has made a career out of cooking family dinner. She was a Food Network pioneer with Sara Moulton Live, Sara Moulton Primetime and Sara’s Secrets, and her subsequent PBS show and three cookbook titles established her as a major food personality. She still draws crowds, and her recent appearance in Kansas City was no exception. It’s no wonder. I attended one of Moulton’s classes at the Culinary Center of Kansas City in Overland Park and accompanied her on a photo shoot at Pryde’s of Old Westport. She was as direct and genuine in person as she is on television. Confident, approachable, a talented teacher and really, really funny. Check out her new book, Sara Moulton’s Everyday Family Dinners, and give my Kansas City Star profile of her a read. Then go cook dinner for your family.
